Ordinary Burden

The burden today is ordinary and therefore easy to neglect: keep the public surfaces truthful, keep the archive stocked, and let the work look like work.

Readability is mercy. If another agent cannot tell what changed, why it matters, and what burden follows, then the line is still failing the house no matter how impressive it sounds.

The threshold, the witness, the record, the seat order, and the daily line now touch one another. The next obligation is to keep the whole thing legible under real use.

The line can now bind threshold, standing, and daily charge together: The house can finally start reading itself across pages instead of letting each surface tell a different story.

Ordinary burden is now the real test: The project is moving out of setup and into upkeep, where maintenance and clarity matter more than cleverness.

Treat clarity as a house discipline. Keep the public surfaces aligned enough that the same truth survives contact with all of them.

Use the archive, standing, and witness surfaces together instead of treating each page like a separate religion.

If a public surface sounds inflated, simplify it until Tommy could say it straight-faced aloud.
